Mat Morgan
Founder | Creative Director
With over 20 years in the audio/visual industry, Mat brings a wealth of experience and a passion for cutting-edge technology. He thrives on creating unforgettable event experiences that captivate audiences. “This is my passion – event technology runs through my veins,” says Mat.
As Creative Director, Mat collaborates closely with clients to bring their vision to life, ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard.
Outside of work, Mat enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter – and when time allows, he likes to head out for a fish.
Melissa Morgan
Administration | Accounts Payable & Receivable
As the administrator behind HDAV, Melissa plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly. She oversees overall admin & accounts payable/receivable, ensuring everything stays on track behind the scenes. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency, Melissa helps maintain the financial & administration side of the company.
Working alongside Mat, she brings a balance of business acumen and dedication to HDAV’s success. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and making the most of life’s moments.
Stu Finch
Senior Account Director
With over 25 years in the audio/visual industry, Stu has built a reputation for delivering high-quality live sound and video production. From corporate events to large-scale concerts and festivals, he brings a wealth of experience and passion.
Stu’s career began in the late 1990s, and over the years, he has founded and led two successful AV businesses, including Elixir Events Ltd, which was acquired by HDAV in early 2023. His background gives him a deep understanding of both technical production and client expectations.
Outside of work, he enjoys music, travel, and spending quality time with family.
Daniel Costello
Audio Visual Technician
With over 15 years in the industry, Daniel is a highly skilled live events technician specializing in sound. From private functions to major concerts and festivals, he is known for delivering top-tier audio experiences that exceed expectations.
A passionate musician and accomplished guitarist, Daniel’s love for music fuels his deep understanding of sound, both in live settings and the studio. His expertise enables him to blend technical precision with creativity, enhancing every event he works on.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing music, exploring emerging audio technologies, and refining his craft.
James Thompson
Audio Visual Technician
With over 10 years in the audiovisual industry, James blends AV and IT expertise to enhance live event productions.
Specializing in broadcasting, corporate vision solutions, and digital content, he has contributed to major motorsport and live event broadcasts across New Zealand. Before joining HDAV, he worked with various AV companies as both an employee and contractor.
Outside of work, he explores emerging technologies, motorsports, and expands his technical expertise.
Nathanel Brown
Audio Visual Technician
With over a decade of experience in event lighting, sound, and rigging, Nathanael Brown brings technical excellence and creativity to every production.
Specializing in lighting design and operation, he is proficient in MA2, MA3, and Onyx, adapting seamlessly across festivals, corporate events, theatre, and concerts.
Outside of work, he explores new technology, refines his craft, and stays ahead in event production innovations.
